Learning to Observe: Grades 3 and 4

Every scientist began as a child who noticed something and wanted to know why. So, before a child can reason like a scientist, they must learn to see like one. Budding is where that begins: weekly experiments your child runs and explains, building the observation and curiosity that carry them through to high school and beyond.

STEM is very interesting and I love it very much, because I understand many hard concepts by simply doing fun, easy experiments. For example I learnt how a pin-hole camera works by making a model. It is more like an enjoyable session than a science class. It is easier than a school

Our Educators

Our educators do not teach from a script. They are trained in how children learn, in the published pedagogy of our founder, Dr Sonali Dasgupta, PhD, IIT Delhi, and in facilitating small groups so that curiosity is the driver, not the teacher.

Questions parents ask

Is this science tuition?

No. Tuition follows the textbook and prepares for the next test. Budding STEMonsters Program follows themes and teaches children to observe, think, ask questions, experiment and explain what they see. It supports school science; it does not replace it.
Eventually. We do not coach for exams and do not promise grades. But what we can promise is that your child will start enjoying sciences, become inquisitive and will build the aptitude to pick up anything new and be able to adopt to it effortlessly. Academic excellence become a natural outcome as they reach higher grades in school. Our programs are competency-focused, not marks-focused.
Yes to both. Every theme stands alone and runs 10 to 12 sessions. Nothing in Year 2 depends on having done Year 1. We are not completing q checklist, we are mentoring your child to develop a scientific mindset.
No. Experiments use household materials and are safe for 8 to 9 year olds to do alone on camera. Most parents help the first week, then step away.
